Praise the Lord, Brother, and don't give up! Keep on keeping on with the discipline of the children before, during, and after the worship service. The Lord will reward your obedience with theirs!

Evers, this is wonderful. Wonderful writing and wonderful thinking. It is even now a help to me and hopefully to my whole family.

I remember a time many years ago when I had to leave the service yet another time with a crying baby. I had to leave while the pastor was praying and his prayers always helped me to know God better. I remember asking the Lord as I had to remove myself that though I would not be hearing what the pastor was praying, would He be merciful to apply all that was prayed for to my heart, even in spite of my absence. I don't even know what the pastor prayed, but I am reassured that as David knew what the ewes needed, so my Shepherd knew that I was taking care of one of His lambs.

Please don't grow weary in well-doing! And may God help many others to follow your example.

Hey Evers, yes, I noticed the empty pew to my left this morning when I looked. And as we've shared, though probably with a quarter of your struggle by number, our sentiments are completely in agreement. I trust the children are learning, by God's grace, the value of exalting our God in the midst of other saints by the faithful examples of their parents. Just wanted to say, if it's ok with you, feel free to "park" the kid(s) with us if you need to step out with one or more of them. We are only half a pew away!

I continue to use Lois' method of sermon time, though could be more consistent with it. Also, Caleb likes to look at different bible story books (the pictures mainly I think), but I notice he is still listening to the "sermon" while "reading." So I may consider bringing different ones from time to time (he does bring a small one now but does not always "read" it). I noticed Matthew was interested in reading it a couple times after worship.

Humbly learning this together with you all by God's mercy.
